Spring ISD Educators Named STAR Ambassadors
Two Spring ISD educators are earning statewide recognition for their commitment to student support and professional growth.
Mrs. Johnson and Ms. Holman, International School at Salyers, have been selected as two of only 20 educators from across Texas to serve as 2026 STAR Ambassadors for the Lone Star State School Counselor Association (LSSSCA) Glow and Grow Conference.
The statewide conference will take place Nov. 15–17 in Frisco, Texas. In preparation for the event, Johnson and Holman are participating in specialized virtual training and professional development designed to strengthen leadership, communication, technology and student-support skills.
The STAR Ambassador program also provides opportunities to connect with school counseling professionals and educators from across Texas.
“We are both passionate about supporting students beyond academics and continuing to grow professionally in the field of school counseling,” Johnson and Holman shared. “We are excited to represent Spring ISD at the conference and bring the knowledge, resources, and connections we gain back to our school community.”
Their selection as STAR Ambassadors highlights the dedication of Spring ISD educators who continue to learn, lead, and advocate for students beyond the classroom.

📚🐾 AFTER-SCHOOL TUTORIALS ARE BACK! 🐾📚
We’re excited to announce that Grades 3–5 After-School Tutorials will begin Tuesday, September 22nd! 🎉
Our tutorials will be held Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 4:00–5:00 PM.
📖 Tuesdays: Reading — Grades 3–5
➗📚 Wednesdays: Math/Reading — Grades 3–4
🔬➗ Thursdays: Math — Grades 3–5
🚨 IMPORTANT TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION:
District transportation will NOT be provided for after-school tutorials. All students participating in tutorials must be picked up by a car rider or be a walker.
Please make sure transportation arrangements are made prior to your child staying for tutorials.
